Water Authority Board Approves Campground Lease Changes

Effingham Water Authority trustees have approved changes in the lease for Lake Sara Campgrounds to facilitate the sale of the campgrounds.

Trustees approved a partial cancellation of the lease of the campgrounds, an amendment to the campground lease, and assignment of the campground lease in regard to the sale of the campgrounds by Danny Hankins to Chet Kiefer and Scott Conant of KC Investment Properties.

In other business, Water Authority trustees tabled a survey on Lot 7 Moccasin Inlet until the Board can make an inspection; approved revisions to the building guidelines and to include a provision in regard to silt fencing; and heard from Trustee Jim Boos over concerns in regard to cutting down trees at Lake Sara and whether an ordinance regulating such action should be adopted.
