South Central school board members met Wednesday with the district's architects on grants from the Capitol Development Board and for energy efficiency moves and maintenance projects.
The district has already been promised funds from the CDB that could help pay for additional classrooms at South Central Elementary School and a cafeteria at South Central High School.
Energy efficiency and maintenance grants can help pay for specific improvement projects on existing facilities.
The Board also approved a leave of absence for Deborah Keen, accepted the resignation in February of Chandra Markley, and appointed Hugh Rosen as freshman class sponsor.
