Crash South of Flora Injures One

A crash near Flora over the weekend injured one person.

The crash happened at 2:03am Sunday on Hanging Rock Road, 2-1/2 miles south of Flora.  State police said 18-year-old Damien Cory Sons of Cisne swerved to miss hitting a deer on the roadway.  Sons' vehicle ran off the road and struck a telephone pole.

Sons' passenger, 20-year-old Dakota Morgan of Flora, was injured and was taken to Clay County Hospital in Flora for treatment.
