A teenager from Yale was injured in a crash Friday in Jasper County.

State police say the crash occurred at 8:50am on a rural road two miles east of Yale.  16-year-old James Smith was westbound when he lost control of the car he was driving in gravel.  The car ran off the road, struck two trees, and overturned.

Smith was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana where he was listed in good condition Saturday morning.

Smith was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
