Tuesday Crash That Knocked Out Watson Power Was Hit-and-Run

The crash Tuesday night that knocked out power to Watson for a time was a hit-and-run.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports that the crash along Funkhouser Road sometime after 7:30pm involved a car running off the roadway in the Boggsville community and striking a power pole, knocking out electric service.  The driver and vehicle left the scene after the crash.

Sheriff's deputies hope to determine the driver on Friday.
