No Word on Crash That Caused Power Outage

Still no details regarding the crash that led to a power outage in the Watson community last night.

We had a report that a crash occurred along US Route 40 but then had another report of a crash along the Funkhouser Road in the Boggsville community around 7:30pm that damaged a power pole.  There were concerns that the pole might fall across the roadway so Watson firefighters stood by while Norris Electric Cooperative crews made repairs.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported Wednesday afternoon that the crash was still under investigation, and that details might be available Thursday morning.
