We received this Labor Day message from Effingham County Dive-Rescue Team Assistant Commander Captain Jeremy Kyle:

"The Effingham County Dive Rescue Team would like to remind everyone enjoying activities around the water this weekend to do so responsibly.  Boating and swimming are great ways to cool off on this hot Labor Day weekend but only if done so safely.  We encourage everyone to ensure that friends and loved ones have direct supervision when in or around the water and to always wear Personal Flotation Devices.  We also want to remind everyone to designate a driver or boat captain if celebrating with alcoholic beverages, it is not only safer and more enjoyable, it’s also the law.  We wish everyone in, around, or visiting Effingham County a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend."
