North Clay School Board Addresses Several Personnel Matters at Special Meeting

North Clay school board members took action on a suspension and some other personnel matters at a special meeting Friday evening.

The Board voted to suspend Lucinda Wiegel without pay for 10 work days beginning Tuesday, September 3.  The vote was 5-2, with McKnelly and Worthey voting No.

The Board also voted to accept the resignation of Billy Coble as head high school boys basketball coach, effective immediately.  The vote was 5-2, with Cochran and Simmons voting No.  On a separate vote, the Board voted 5-2 to accept Billy and Stephanie Coble's resignations as senior trip chaperones for this year with Cochran and Simmons again voting No on the motion.

Board members also voted to hire Megan Williams as a paraprofessional based upon the completion of requirements, hired Vicky Hagen and Chris Mellody as freshman class sponsors for this school year, and hired Dennis Arnold as a substitute custodian.
