Authorities say the death of a  39-year-old rural Watson woman was due to natural causes.

Aimee Mulvaney was found unresponsive by a roommate at their residence early Sunday morning.  Emergency Medical Services were notified and the Effingham County Coroner's Office was subsequently notified.  The coroner's office responded and pronounced Mulvaney dead at the scene.

An initial investigation disclosed that Mulvaney died of natural causes and foul play is not suspected.

Effingham City-County Ambulance Service and the Effingham County Sheriff's Department assisted during the initial investigation.  The investigation continues by the Coroner's Office.
