Two Injured in Collision on South Banker

Two people were injured in a collision Thursday afternoon on South Banker in Effingham.

City police say the crash occurred at 3:49pm at 2911 South Banker.  A vehicle driven by 16-year-old Olivia Koester of Effingham backed into the path of, and was struck by a vehicle driven by, 33-year-old Amy Beck of Watson.

Koester was injured but refused treatment.  Beck was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
