Rodeo Evening Attraction at Fair

The Rough Stock Rodeo is the feature evening attraction tonight at the Effingham County Fair.

The rodeo will begin at 7:30pm in front of the grandstand.  Ticket prices are $12 for the infield and $8 for the grandstand.

By the way, fair officials have asked us to let you know that you cannot order tickets through the fair's website during Fair Week.  Instead, please phone 1-888-854-FAIR (3247) or 618-483-6717, or buy tickets through the box office in the Secretary's Office on the fairgrounds.

Today is the final day of harness racing at this year's fair.  There is a nine-heat card.  Post time is 1pm.  Hear the action on KJ Country 102.3 and at www.kjcountry.com. 

The midway will be open for $17 armband night from 6 to 10:30pm.

The judging schedule is Class U dairy goats at 9am, Class H dairy cattle at 9:30am, and Class H pygmy goats at 3pm.

On the free stage tonight, enjoy the bluegrass music of Big Spike Hammer from 6:30 to 7:30pm, and more bluegrass music from Firebox from 8 to 9:30pm.

The fair runs through Saturday at Altamont.
