Breeanna Strauch of Beecher City is the 2013 Effingham County Fair queen.

Queen Breeanna Strauch was crowned before a packed house at the county fairgrounds at Altamont Tuesday night.  She will reign over the balance of this year's fair and will compete in January at the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs Convention in Springfield for the title of Miss Illinois County Fair.  Should she win, she would reign over the 2014 Illinois State Fair and DuQuoin State Fair.

Queen Breeanna is the 19-year-old daughter of Virgil and Ginger Strauch.  She will be a sophomore at Quincy University, majoring in Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy.  She plans to complete her degree and then attend a graduate school.

Whitney Donaldson was named first runner-up, Miriah Ludtke second runner-up, and Melissa Davis third runner-up. 

Laura Soltwedel received the People's Choice Award, Erin Goeckner won the Highest Ticket Sales Award, and Whitney Donaldson received a special award for her help during the weeks leading up to the pageant.

The evening also featured two dozen Little Misses, a musical performance by Fair Talent Show senior division winner Abby Hagen, visiting royalty, past fair queens and a rendition of the National Anthem by retiring queen Gina Thoele and her sisters Laura and Jodi.
