(THE TREE ON THE HOUSE IN THE 500 BLOCK OF CLINTON AVENUE IN EFFINGHAM)
Damage was reported throughout the area from Wednesday evening's series of storms, but no injuries were reported.
The majority of storms visited the Effingham area between 5 and 8pm, and stretched everywhere from Cowden and Herrick northwest to Greenville to the west to Teutopolis and Montrose to the east and Farina to the south.
The only damage reported in Effingham occurred in the 500 block of Clinton Avenue where a tree fell on a house.
Several trees and power poles were damaged in the Teutopolis area and in Altamont. The swimming pool of one home in the area was damaged...

There was damage on the Phil and Carol Hartke farm near Teutopolis. The storm that hit there about 6:30pm took the cover off their 62'-by-140' hoop building, but there was no damage to the equipment stored inside. The roofs were also peeled up on three hog barns on the farm.
