Rain, Hail, Strong Winds in Sunday's Storms

There were no reports of injuries during the storms that rumbled through the area Sunday, but there was damage done.

Two 2X4s were blown into the front siding of a home at the edge of Strasburg and remained stuck there once the storm had passed.

There were several reports of hail, power poles taken down, and trees and limbs blown down. 

The highest wind gust reported in Effingham County was a 55MPH gust recorded at Effingham County Regional Airport just after 4:30pm.

There was another round of rain and hail in the area about 7:30pm.
