Just a few weeks ago, we shared a story about the progress made at Neoga schools.
Now, the school district is regrouping after storms struck the elementary and junior/senior high school buildings overnight Friday.
Neoga Superintendent Kevin Haarman shared this message on the Neoga school district Facebook page Saturday morning in the aftermath of the incident..

Dear Neoga Community, Staff, and Students,
I want to inform you that very early this morning, the Neoga School Campus experienced a significant severe weather event, resulting in substantial damage to both Neoga Elementary and Neoga Jr/Sr High.
First and foremost, I am relieved to report that no one was hurt or injured during this incident. Our Neoga community has always shown incredible strength and support, lifting each other up and offering help in times of need. We are deeply grateful for that spirit, and there will undoubtedly be opportunities for us to come together in the days ahead. However, at this time, for the safety and well-being of everyone, we ask that all community members, staff, and students stay off school property. Insurance representatives, maintenance teams, and cleanup crews are currently assessing the damage and ensuring the safety of our buildings and campus. We are committed to keeping you informed as more details become available. Updates will be shared with the district and community as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Kevin Haarman
Superintendent of Schools
Neoga Community Unit School District
