Dieterich village board members Monday dealt with sidewalk and sewer projects.
The Board awarded sidewalk improvements on East Section Street to Precision Concrete and Construction of Louisville for $79,071.20 The award came after the Board decided against spot paving and to instead build an entire new sidewalk in that area. The Board also paid off storm sewer work along East Section Street and deducted the amount of spot paving that wasn't done.
Dieterich board members adopted a water leak sewer billing adjustment policy. If the landowner can establish that when there is a water leak and the water doesn't go into the sanitary sewer system, they will be charged on their water bill, but not on their sewer bill. The Board also amended the liquor code to create a new temporary license for a for-profit entity; amended the policy to allow an employee to be reimbursed for work shorts as well as other boots and workwear; and hired McCollum Lawn Care for lawn mowing services for the ditch along Illinois Route 33 to $140 per mowing per week for the 2025 lawn mowing season.
