Windsor school board members have decided on the district's next junior/senior high school principal.
She is Jamie Martin, who is currently an English teacher at Windsor.
Martin will operate under a three-year contract. Next year, she will work as a Student Dean while completing necessary work to qualify as a principal, then will serve as principal for the following two school years. Superintendent Erik Vanhoveln said he would handle any duties in the coming year Martin can't while she completes her certification.
Martin will replace Bart Wiedman as principal. Wiedman is headed back to the classroom next school year.
Windsor board members also discussed whether to ban student use of cell phones for the coming school year. VanHoveln said the Board will likely vote on the issue at their March meeting.
