Teutopolis Village Board Obtains Easements for Oak Street Work

Teutopolis village board members Wednesday moved ahead with work on Oak Street next to Teutopolis Grade School.

The Board purchased an easement from the Teutopolis School District for sidewalk and utility purposes. The work will involve relocating the power pole at the intersection of Oak and Main Street. The Board also acquired an easement from the Springfield Diocese for the same work. The Diocese owns the grade school.

The Board tabled further action on metal carports and related structures for now, discussed the FEMA flood map, and also discussed hiring summer seasonal help, but there was no action on the matter.
