EWOT Offers Adult Scholarship

With the understanding that scholarships are difficult to obtain for post-high school students or those who are returning to college or training school, the GFWC Illinois Effingham Women of Today is offering an adult scholarship to qualifying adults, both women and men in Effingham County.  The applicant must have been 25 years of age or older by January 1, 2025.  A personal letter outlining the applicant’s goals, background and community service must be included with the application.  In addition, a letter of recommendation from a professional, i.e. employer, teacher, advisor, etc. and a personal letter of recommendation must also be included.  Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2025.

Applications may be obtained by contacting Scholarship Chair Pat Copple, 217/821-8926 or pdcopple46@yahoo.com to have an application e-mailed or mailed or can be picked up from Club Vice-President Becky Brown at the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce, 903 North Keller Drive in Effingham. Recipient will be announced in May.
