Effingham Noon Rotarians had the opportunity to learn more about a new downtown business at their meeting February 5.

The business is the Wandering Whistler Cafe. The operator of the business is Wes Hunter.

The Wandering Whistler is an original board game cafe. You're invited to stop by to play your favorite board game and get something to eat and drink while you're there. The cafe is located at 221 West Jefferson Avenue.

Wes Hunter was the Rotary weekly guest speaker.

The Rotary weekly student guest was Connor Eggers, son of Kelly and Lindsay Eggers and a senior at St. Anthony High School.

Eggers is a member of the St. Anthony tennis squad and the National Honor Society. He is heading to Lake Land College to continue his journey toward a degree from the University of Illinois in Veterinary Medicine.
