Altamont Council Approves Plat for Business Park

Altamont city council members have approved a plat of Schultz Business Park.

The property is located on the south end of the city, south of Interstate 70, across from the Equity store. The property could be the site of a new fire station for Altamont.

The Council approved the appointment of Wes Bell as zoning administrator. Bell replaces Gary White, who retired after 36 years' service.

Council members approved seeking bids for removal of 41 trees, in preparation for water main replacement. The trees are located on city right of way along South Main, South 3rd and South 4th Streets. Bids will be opened on March 5. It was also voted to seek mowing bids, with the bids due on March 19.

Altamont council members approved condemnation of a structure at 703 Field Street. R&H Plumbing and Heating of Altamont will do the demolition work for $11,800.
