Phipps Named Cumberland County Coroner

Cumberland County board members have named Jennifer Phipps as county coroner. 

The action came at this week's board meeting. Phipps had been serving as acting coroner since the death of late Coroner Brad Sherwood last month. Phipps had been Sherwood's chief deputy coroner.

The Board also discussed the Toledo Ambulance Service area, but no changes were made. There are areas in Spring Point Township that have been served by the Neoga Ambulance Service.

Board members approved an amended solar ordinance, and approved a video gaming license for Lakeside Timbers RV Campground by Lake Mattoon.
