Teutopolis school board members Monday set tentative end-of-year dates; high school graduation on Sunday, May 18 and 8th grade promotion on Thursday, May 22.

The Board approved alternative education program agreements with the Regional Office of Education; authorized Superintendent Matt Sturgeon to begin work on a tentative budget for the new fiscal year; accepted the January 9th US District Court decision to vacate the 2024 Title IX policy and revert back to the previously approved 2020 board policy; approved an updated easement to the Village of Teutopolis for anticipated work on Oak Street adjacent to Teutopolis Grade School.

Board members also approved bid letting through the Upchurch Group for the high school cafeteria and Unit office re-skin and high school and junior high school secure entrance work. The bid opening is set for March 11 with an award of a bid at the March 17th board meeting.

The Board discussed a preliminary calendar for next school year; accepted the irrevocable letters of retirement from bus driver Carlene Rauch and junior high Math teacher Connie Deters at the end of the school year; approved the requested reassignment of Haley Honselman from grade school and junior high school counselor to high school counselor effective next school year; and approved administrator, director and other non-union employment extensions and wages for next school year.
