The Effingham Performance Center announces the return of Six String Summit to the stage with a powerhouse lineup of local guitar legends, special guests and cutting-edge production.

The Six String Summit is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 7 pm with doors opening to the Main Lobby at 6 pm.

The lineup for the 8th Annual Six String Summit includes Terry Smith, John Sawyer, Isaac Biver, John Spicer, Jon Clarkson, and Marty Williamson. Performers will be backed by the Summit Band, featuring Jeremy Adam, Adam Burtch and Kyle Heynen.

“Get ready for an unforgettable night,” said Marty Williamson, who has been producing the show since its inception. “The beauty of the Six String Summit is that we’re able to draw from the immense pool of local talent to create a professional, one-of-a-kind show every single year. It’s truly a testament to the talent and passion in our community.”

The show features a wide variety of musical styles, showcasing classic songs and exceptional vocals. Then, as always, the show’s grand finale includes a jam with all six of the selected guitarists.

Williamson added that this year’s show includes a few surprises. “We have a few surprises this year. We have the addition of Summit Horns, including Blake Korte, Buddy Ferguson, Jeff Mondt, and Denis Lading, and the addition of a pedal steel guitar,” said Williamson. “Perhaps the biggest highlight is that we will be utilizing the EPC’s new 18-foot by 32-foot multimedia wall to deliver a concert experience on par with national touring acts.”

Additional guests patrons can expect to see at this year’s Summit include Nash Swisher, Steve Wills, Sonny Swisher, Sam Roan, Big John Spicer, Bob Turnage, Jon Fopay and Shane Burtch.

Tickets are currently on sale for $25 each and may be purchased at The EPC’s Box Office, by calling 217-540-2788 or online at www.ticketmaster.com/epc. For more information about the theater, visit www.theepc.org.
