Altamont school board members Monday got a treat at the start of their monthly meeting. The Altamont junior high choir sang the Star-Spangled Banner.
The Board was updated on the choir's activities so far this school year.
Altamont Superintendent Casey Adam reported on the curriculum committee's activities. The committee is finalizing textbook recommendations with a vote on the upgrades ready for the March board meeting.
In personnel moves, the Altamont board approved Alec Braasch as a volunteer assistant golf coach, employed Matthew Reeder as a custodian, and employed Lynse Thoele as a high school Science teacher. The Board also approved alternative education options for next school year and approved high school graduation for May 17th at 5pm.
The annual retreat for strategic planning will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 9am.
