Effingham Water Authority trustees were updated at this month's meeting on the sale of Lakeside Marina. The matter was discussed at a special meeting in December.

One of the Authority's attorney, Pamela Apke, told the Board that the paperwork has begun and that they are in the process of getting the contract signed.

J.D. Kuhns has informally agreed to purchase the marina.

The Board heard from Jeff Niebrugge of the Fishing Committee on the structure builds that were done in the fall. Committee members put in 305 smaller structures and now have 608 in place.

Tom Ryan of the Parks and Rec Committee reported that all payments have been made. Ryan also reported that they are working on an updated Master Plan and are discussing plans for the future.
