(CAMPBELL)

Effingham resident Dallas R. Campbell was sentenced to prison time Thursday on child pornography charges.

The 27-year-old Campbell pleaded guilty to four counts of either production or possession of pornography. He was given prison terms of seven years, five years, five years and three years. The sentences will run consecutively, not together, for a total of 20 years in prison.

Eight other charges were dismissed as part of the plea or since they stemmed from the same offense.

Investigators with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul's office and Effingham City Police searched Campbell's home in the 200 block of North Banker Street in Effingham in October of 2023. Campbell was arrested due to evidence of child pornography on his electronic device.
