Two people were injured late Friday morning in a crash on Illinois Route 37 in Mason Township.
Effingham County Sheriff's Office reported a vehicle driven by 56-year-old Erika Corbin of Stewardson was northbound a quarter-mile south of 550th Avenue. Deputies report Corbin lost control of the vehicle on snow and ice and crossed into the southbound lane.
The driver of a southbound vehicle, 30-year-old Easton Hanna of Mason, turned sharply and ended up sideways in the southbound lane, then struck a snow embankment. Hanna was unable to get out of the way of the Corbin vehicle, and Corbin's vehicle struck the Hanna vehicle.
Easton Hanna and a passenger, 27-year-old Rachel Hanna of Mason, were injured and were taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
No citations were issued.
