Altamont school board members Monday acted on personnel matters.

The Board accepted the retirement of custodian Dan Koester, accepted the resignation of Cailin Gilpin as grade school paraprofessional and employed Tonia Harris to fill that position, and approved Holly Borah as volunteer coach for girls basketball at the high school.

The Altamont board approved a leave for an employee; approved the District's cardiac response plan; and approved workers compensation renewal with employers through Gallagher from Decatur.

Board members heard from Superintendent Casey Adam that the curriculum committee's next meeting will be on February 11 to finalize recommendations for the Board; and heard from student Kaylee Lurkins that the Ballin for All Girls Basketball game against St. Anthony on December 9 raised $1,400 for Special Olympics.
