Rutherford Meets w/Hospital, Local Government Officials (w/audio)

New St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital President and CEO Theresa Rutherford met with members of the hospital and local government official community Thursday evening, saying she is enjoying Effingham.

Rutherford said she and her husband are looking for a house and said their grandchildren have already given the community a thumbs up since they enjoyed their time at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Rutherford came to St. Anthony's from St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur where she had served as Chief Operating Officer since 2006.  Asked what people should know about her, though, and she first mentions her history as a nurse.

Rutherford (pronounced ROOtherford, like Baby Ruth, she says) is a native of Coffeyville, Kansas.  She and her husband Tom have four adult children.
