One Person Injured in Crash Along Effingham/Fayette County Line

One person was injured in a crash Friday morning, west of Altamont.

The crash happened at 5:36am on Illinois Route 128, a half-mile north of US Route 40.

Effingham County Sheriff's Office reported a SUV driven by 31-year-old Amanda Ealy of Decatur was southbound on Route 128 when the vehicle ran off the highway to the east. The vehicle struck a concrete bridge support, causing the unit to overturn and come to rest on its top. Ealy was trapped inside the vehicle and had be extricated. She was taken by Rural Med EMS to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Ealy was cited for driving while her license is suspended.
