Fourth Judicial Circuit Judge Amanda S. Ade-Harlow was recently presented with the Presidential Leadership Award from the Illinois Judges Association (IJA). She received the award at the IJA Mid-Year Meeting on December 13, 2024 in Chicago.
Judge Ade-Harlow serves as co-chair of the IJA’s Judicial Selection and Retention Committee. She received this award for her work in updating handbooks that assist all member judges in the judicial selection and retention process as well as providing two live video education meetings regarding the initial phase and interview phase for retention for all Cook County judges. This was one of only six awards given by the IJA.
Judge Ade-Harlow has been a judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit since 2016, currently serving as the Resident Circuit Judge for Shelby County. She serves on various Illinois Supreme Court committees and IJA committees, as well as serving as faculty for the Illinois Judicial College.
The Fourth Judicial Circuit consists of nine counties – Christian, Clay, Clinton, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, Marion, Montgomery and Shelby.
