Siemer Milling Endowment Benefits Nine Entities

Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation has announced the Siemer Milling Endowment for Youth Leadership Development has awarded nine grants totaling $44,600 to nonprofit agencies in Effingham County.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Illinois received $5,000 for Youth Leadership Development Program.
Arts Connection of Central Illinois received $2,500 for their Summer Youth Theatre Camp 2024.
Aspire and Tristar Academy received $2,700 for Trauma-Informed Youth Leadership class workbooks.
Imagination Library of Effingham received $1,000 for their county expansion work.
Effingham CUSD Unit 40 Mentoring Program received $2,400 for their STEM to Drive Leadership.
The Study Shoppe, Inc. received $17,500 for new computers and expanded programs.
Effingham Child Development Center received $5,000 for their Today’s Classroom Holds Tomorrow’s Leaders work.
CASA of Effingham County received $7,500 for Self-Advocacy for Special Interests project.
Crisis Nursery of Effingham County received $1,000 for Rock for Kids Sound System Rental.
Each grant award was given at the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation Grant Reception.
The Siemer Milling Company Endowment for Youth Leadership Development, a fund of Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation, was established in 2006 to provide a permanent source of funding to programs in Effingham County that support young leaders' development. Since its inception, the Siemer Milling Company Endowment has contributed more than $400,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Effingham County.
