Teutopolis village board members Wednesday agreed to resurface Oak Street along the east side of the grade school property.
The project will include relocating a utility pole near the intersection with Main Street that makes for a tight squeeze for motorists. The cost of the work is estimated at $436,504. A dedication of right-of-way by the school district to make room for the project is expected at the next Board meeting.
Village board members finalized a TIF intergovernmental agreement with the Teutopolis Fire Protection District. The Village agreed to contribute $64,500 in TIF dollars to help the fire district with purchase of a pumper truck. The first half of the funds will be awarded when the truck arrives, with the balance paid a year later.
The Board decided to put a used pickup truck up for sale in "as is" condition, and approved an advertising budget of $3,000 for the comprehensive plan project.
