Teutopolis village board members Wednesday passed a resolution designating Pearl Street as a truck route. The designation would allow the village to seek grant funds to pay for a portion of the project.

The plan is to reconstruct Pearl Street, south from the four-way stop to just outside Little Buckaroo Saddle Club. The project cost is estimated at $1,190,000.

The Board approved a proposal from Visu-Sewer to reline a sewer line from Washington to Columbus. The work is to cost $20,460 and would address a hole in the sewer line. Board members also approved $150 Christmas bonuses for village employees, and renewed membership in the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce.
