Effingham County Coroner Kim Rhodes released information Tuesday on an unresponsive individual found at an Effingham residence during the noon hour on Saturday.

At approximately 12:30pm, Effingham city police and Rural Med EMS responded to 1008 West Jefferson. The woman found was identified as 33-year-old Tina Williams of Effingham.

Preliminary results indicate the death was from natural causes due to what Rhodes termed a "severe medical issue".

Effingham Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit and the Effingham County Coroner's Office responded to the scene. Medical records were requested from several physicians involved in her health care.

The incident remains under investigation by the Effingham City Police Department and the Effingham County Coroner's Office.
