Effingham County Board members elected in November were sworn in to new terms Monday.

Those sworn in were District C member Tim Ellis, District D member David Campbell, District F member Mike Buzzard, District G member Doug McCain, and District I member Jeremy Deters. Buzzard was appointed to the Board earlier this year following the resignation of Elizabeth Huston.

Board members unanimously voted to retain Josh Douthit as Board Chairman, and Campbell was unanimously selected to another term as Vice-Chairman. The Board also approved committee assignments and meeting dates.

Those countywide officials elected in November were sworn in separately. Those include State's Attorney Aaron Jones, Circuit Clerk Tammy Kreke and County Coroner Kim Rhodes.
