One Person Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash South of Farina

A person was injured in a crash south of Farina Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened just before 3pm on Illinois Route 37. Marion County Sheriff's Office reports the crash occurred when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Dakota McGuire of Charleston was backing out of a driveway along the highway and collided with a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Brenda Riddle of Louisville.

A passenger in the McGuire vehicle 22-year-old Makenzie Wooden of Farina, was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

McGuire was cited for improper backing.
