Former Effingham resident Brooklyn Rueger was sentenced in Marion County Tuesday to eight years in prison on a methamphetamine charge.
The 21-year-old Rueger was sentenced on a Class X felony charge of possession of 100 to 400 grams of meth. Two other Class X counts charging meth trafficking and meth delivery were dismissed, along with a meth possession charge.
Rueger, who now lists Moweaqua as her address, was arrested on the drug counts in November of 2023. She was subsequently arrested for violating conditions of pre-trial release.
