Effingham Public Library board members were happy with bids opened on a Children's Room expansion.

Two bids were received, and both were below the estimated project cost. The Board scheduled a special meeting for December 4 to award the bid.

The Board reviewed the library budget, plan of service, and action plan process for the coming fiscal year. A final review is planned in January with a vote on the items at the February meeting. The fees policy and the authority to spend policy were both reviewed, and it was decided not to make any changes.

Board members approved a gift of two days of comp time for each current library employee for Christmas.
