Altamont city council members voted Monday to amend the city's water capital infrastructure fee.
When the fee was adopted in 2020, it included a 3% increase option, but the option was never exercised.
The increase boosted the fee to $10.04/month, from $9.75/month. The funds can be used solely for infrastructure improvements.
The Council voted to square off three tracts of land in South Point Subdivision. The shaved-off land will go to the adjacent property owners that face Empire Drive.
Council members amended the appropriation for the fiscal year ending in 2025 by $750,000. Water main replacement work was lowered to $375,000, and sewer lining was reduced by $100,000.
The Council announced an estimated tax levy for the coming fiscal year of $278,000, up 4.17% from what was extended for taxes this past year.
Altamont council members also left the 2025 holiday schedule and the 2025 meeting schedule unchanged from this year.
