Altamont Sponsors Holiday Lighting Contest

The City of Altamont will host its 2024 Holiday Lighting Contest.

The contest judging is set for Sunday, December 8. Judging will be from 5:30 to 7:30pm.

The first place finisher will receive 100% free electric for the month of December. The second place finisher will receive 50% off their electric bill for December. Both of those prizes will be donated by the City of Altamont. The third prize of $50 will be given by the Altamont Garden Club.

The eligible residents will live within the Altamont city limits and Town and Country Subdivision.

The contest organizers remind that, while driving around the city of Altamont enjoying the lights, don't forget to drive through Schmidt Park and take in all the lights and the displays.
