350 families were benefitted with a free turkey dinner for Thanksgiving during the Road Home Program Turkey Drop. The event Saturday was headquartered at Family Care Associates on North Merchant Street.

The event was held for all veterans, guard and reserve members, and active duty personnel.

In addition to those who received meals in Effingham, another 25 people were served in Newton.
