Cumberland County Pedestrian Hit by Car Was from Altamont

The pedestian hit and killed by a car last Saturday night in Cumberland County was an Altamont resident.
The man was 34-year-old Sean Magill, according to Cumberland County Coroner Steve Sherwood.
The incident occurred at 7:01pm on Cumberland County Road 1000 North, between County Roads 200 East and 300 East. The location is near Neoga. Illinois State Police responded to the scene following a report of a car that struck a pedestrian. Magill was pronounced dead at the scene by Cumberland County Deputy Coroner Jennifer Phipps.
Sherwood said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
