Organizers of the Blessings in a Backpack effort in the Effingham community stopped by our studios at Fayette and Willow today to say thanks.
The thanks were directed at this past Friday's On-Air Auction that now has raised an even $5,000 for Blessings in a Backpack. The Blessings organizers brought by some food for the hungry crew here at the radio stations as their way to say thanks, and brought along their kids for good measure.
Premier Broadcasting's Vice-President of Operations Tonya Siner is seen (RIGHT) making the check presentation to (FROM FAR LEFT) local program coordinators Mendi Pals, Jamie Waldhoff and Kelsey Weber and coordination committee member Jill Beck.
Thanks to any and all of you who contributed to the On-Air Auction. More than 60 children will be able to be provided food items for the weekends during the school year. Another outgrowth of your great response is that Edgewood Grade School will be added to the three Effingham grade schools to be included in the program during this coming school year.
