Several items were discussed at the recent meeting of the Effingham Park District Board. Among the items reviewed was their approval of the levy, which they plan to pass at the December meeting. This year's total aggregate levy will be $1,571,586, which is higher than last year's amount of $1,496,749.
Also, the board says they are working with architects from V Three Studios, regarding the design for the final stage of the Skate Park.
The board also discussed the Pool being aournd 30 years old, and reportedly is in desperate need of repair and updates. The District will be working with Holabird and Root Architects to help come up with several options, such as:
- Repair and update what exists
- Replace it with a splash pool
or
- Incorporate a small water park
