The annual District Governor's visit to Effingham Noon Rotary took place at the November 6 meeting.
District Governor Mike Martin of Mattoon shared about the many initiatives Rotary is involved in worldwide. Martin focused on efforts to eradicate polio and recognized Noon Club member Dave Ring for his continuing efforts in the project.
The Rotary student guest of the week was Gabe Koester, son of Greg and Clara Koester and a senior at Effingham High School. Gabe plans to attend Lake Land College utilizing his Life Scout benefits from Boy Scouts, then transfer to SIU Carbondale with a goal of becoming a licensed architect.
