There were 5.7 days suitable for fieldwork in the week ending November 3, 2024.

Statewide, the average temperature was 56.7 degrees, 6.0 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.64 inches, 0.18 inches below normal.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 22 percent very short, 43 percent short, 32 percent adequate, and 3 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 19 percent very short, 49 percent short, 31 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus.

Corn harvested reached 95 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 81 percent.

Soybeans harvested reached 95 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 87 percent.

Winter wheat planted reached 92 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 87 percent. Winter wheat emerged reached 69 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 62 percent. Winter wheat condition was rated 5 percent very poor, 6 percent poor, 21 percent fair, 64 percent good, and 4 percent excellent.
