The Neoga High School FFA Ag Sales Team won the national championship at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo in Indianapolis.
The National FFA Agricultural Sales Career Development Event is a competitive venture that allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-life situations. The event includes actual sales presentations, a written exam, and team sales situations. Each team competed at state and local levels for the privilege of representing their state at nationals.
Team members are Kristin Partlow, Haylee Campbell, Macy Moran and Trey Sheehan. The team members competed all day this past Wednesdays at nationals, and their win was announced on stage Thursday evening. Partlow earned a fifth place finish nationally of 172 students overall.
Cody Carman is the Ag instructor at Neoga. Greg Sapp spoke with him about the experience; here's their conversation...
Of the team members, Kristin Partlow has an emphasis in Ag Sales at Kansas State University; Macy Moran is going to college to become an Ag teacher; and Trey Sheehan is attending Lake Land College with an emphasis on Ag Business. Haylee Campbell is not pursuing an agricultural career; she's going into nursing.
