Rural Shobonier Man Killed in ATV Crash

A rural Shobonier man was fatally injured Friday afternoon.

Fayette County Coroner Dave Harris was dispatched by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office to the scene of a crash at 2pm involving an ATV.

The crash happened approximately five miles east and one mile north of Shobonier. At the scene, Harris pronounced 66-year-old Stephen B. Sublette dead at the scene. He said Sublette lost control of the ATV he was operating, flipped it over, and was thrown under the vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation by the Coroner's Office and the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
